Oxford Shop in the George Street made 800 cigarettes, 168 vapes and 326 unit packs taken away nicotine bags.
The trading standards confiscated the goods on March 15, 2024, while the business owner Bashar Mizori (53) looked up.
On April 30, 2024, another undercover test was carried out and illegal cigarettes were bought in the store.

As a result, more illegal vapes were confiscated the following day.
Jody Kerman, head of the Oxfordshire County Council’s commercial standard, said that the case is one of the first in Great Britain with illegal bags.
Nicotine bags are currently not limited and in contrast to Vapes, there is no tailor -made legislation that limits its nicotine content.
He said: “This is our first finished case with illegal bags and how we understand it, one of the first in the UK.
“Nicotine is very addictive and some of the confiscated products that claims to have a very high level of nicotine content.

“The majority was not marked in English either, so it had no instructions for safe use or what to do if you were accidentally swallowed up, which could lead to poisoning.”
On June 13, Mizori – the only director of Oxford Shop LTD – guilty of eight crimes guilty at the Oxford Magistrates’ Court on June 13th.
He was instructed to pay a fine of £ 1,000 (after an early guilty plea of a third by a third), a victim surcharge of 400 GBP and a contribution to the cost of £ 3,500.

On behalf of his company Oxford Shop Ltd, he also owed eight crimes and was fined £ 5,000 (reduced by a third for an early culprit), a sacrificial surcharge of 2,000 GBP and a contribution to the cost of £ 3,500.
In this case, the total number of numbers was 15,400 GBP. All confiscated objects were instructed, forfeited and destroyed.
